I have officially removed Disqus from the blog and switched to Ghost’s built-in comment system. This change is about one thing: respecting your privacy.
Disqus made commenting easy but came at the cost of your personal data. Every visit meant you were tracked your browsing habits, devices, location, and social profiles were collected and sold to advertisers. I had no control over it, and that didn’t sit right with me.

Archy.net is entirely self-hosted, and I want to keep it that way free of third-party trackers and data brokers. With Ghost’s native comments, your data stays on my servers, never shared or sold. You get a faster, cleaner, and more respectful experience.
I haven’t migrated old comments, but from now on, you can simply log in and comment as a member. You also have full control of your data you can download or delete it whenever you want.
This change reflects my commitment to privacy, speed, and independence. Thank you for being part of the journey. The conversation continues just more private and faster than ever.
Questions? Feedback? Let me know in the comments now hosted right here on archy.net.
