In this post I explain how I tried to troubleshoot this issue, if you need the solution, go at the end of this post.
My company (Activlan) had to renew our certificate installed on our Citrix Secure Gateway 3.1.3. As you might know, Citrix has issued some virtual appliance and I had to chose between, Citrix Access Gateway 4.6.2 VPX and Netscaller VPX Express (Free !). My choice was to integrate a Citrix Access Gateway (CAG) mainly because we are using other product to manage VPN to all our customers and I wanted to install what I needed, nothing less, nothing more.
So here we go, I got my xva file from MyCitrix account and I just deploy it on our XenServer, very easy, very simple, just some clicks. Once installed and basics configuration set, I had to generate the CSR (Certificate Signing Request) and wait for Verisign to send me the certificate I had to use with the CAG. This was a big adventure and of course I should have read the manual before, and configuration isn’t so easy but I guess when you do it all day long you begin to know everything and I can say now, I know how to troubleshoot a CAG from the client side to the Web Interface.

This information can be very useful, because as you might know, there are build numbers and version numbers, and it become a mess very fast when you try to list all ICA client version connecting your Citrix Presentation / XenApp servers.

If you choose the easy way with the rpm file, it wont work. You have to change few things before being able to launch any Citrix XenApp application
- get the client from citrix
- get openmotif from http://www.motifzone.net/filebrowser/openmotif/2.3/2.3.1 (at least version 2.3.1, there is a package for fedora 9 but it installs fine in 12)
- disable the cjkuni fonts (why?)
# cd cd /usr/share/fonts/
# mv cjkuni/fonts.dir cjkuni/fonts.dir.disabled
# mv cjkuni/fonts.scale cjkuni/fonts.scale.disabled
Now the ctirix client starts as it should.

The new Online Plug-in is available for download in beta, this is the version 11.2. I had to install it just to check how it looks like :
Setup begin with this light windows to uninstall preivous version. It might take a while
Once uninstall is done, the installation begin

Nous sommes heureux de vous inviter le 13 Juin 2009 à la première JTDC (Journée Technique Doctor-Citrix). Cette journée se veut entre un Pubforum et un KTE Citrix, Autant dire que se sera une journée très IT, pour les IT par des IT.
Les inscriptions sont libre, gratuite et non réservé au membres du forum, il vous suffit de remplir ce formulaire. Cette rencontre se passera en région parisienne, pour le moment la ville de Noisy le grand (siège de la soc Chavers) est retenu. Le nombre de place de cette salle étant limité à 25 personnes, il est possible que ce lieu change (Paris & Petite couronne). C’est pourquoi l’emplacement exacte ne sera donnée qu’a la fin des inscriptions le 23 Mai. Le cocktail(1) sera simple: 50% de XA(2), 20% de XS(2) et 10% de XD(2).

I love my work (Citrix XenApp) and I like to play with my mobile device (HTC Diamond Touch) so when I can play with both of this two things it’s coooool 
So today, this is just a short video to show how I connect to my company with my mobile phone, I will open a desktop on a XenApp server and even if the display is only 480*640 this is kinda usefull for common admin task.
I connect on a Citrix XenApp 5 (4.5 on Windows 2003) through a Webinterface 5 with ssl. I have deploy the certificate on my mobile to be able to connect.
